State Finals
All Hueytown All Stars after the parade at the
State Tournament in Orange Beach!
The 6U brought Hardware Home again. After
Losing in their First Bracket game they had to play all day, Back to
Back, on Saturday to make it to the Final 4. They Lost to the
same team that put them in the situation, by 1 run at the bottom of
the 5th. We can say that the only team to beat the champions,
Monrovia, was us! We 11 runned them in the 4th inning of the
one pool play game that we faced them in.
8U made it to the championship game playing
Monrovia 8U. Lost it by 3 runs at their last at bat.
That was the closes margin that anyone had played them all weekend.
10U came home 7th in the State. A very good finish
for a great Hueytown 10U Team!
So the park with the most teams in State,
Hueytown, came home 2nd, 4th, and 7th! Congratulations to all
the Hueytown All Star Teams!
6U, 8U and 10U Qualify for State
Tournament!
6U Came in Second to Hoover after Playing all Day
and taking Hoover to the "If" game in Saturday's Double elimination.
The game ended at 11:15pm and we played around Thunderstorms most of
the day!
8U came in Third when they were defeated by Hoover
who went on to beat Oak Mountain in the Championship game!
10U came in 4th to Pinson, Clay, and
Vestavia-Blue.
Congratulations to all our All Star Teams and
Congratulations to the Girls who will be representing our city in
STATE!
6U All Stars beat Moody,
Trussville and Hoover to Pull Out
2nd Pre-Area Tournament!
In a come from behind (10 run deficit) victory,
Hueytown 6U moved on to Trussville whom they beat 23-11 with big
sticks in the last at bat, then they moved on to Hoover and pulled
out a squeaker in a great defensive game winning 11-9. Another
week another victory!
6U and 8U Hueytown All Stars win 1st Pre-Area Championships!
6U went 5-1 losing only to Trussville who they
defeated in the Championship Game.
8U went undefeat 7-0 to win their 1st Pre Area!
